Front end loader issues bx2670

So.... my front end loader on my bx2670 is wonky. When I first start to raise bucket, it falls instead of raising. Only when I pull all the way back does it start to go up... and really only if RPMs are high. Otherwise, it just falls. If I release to the neutral position, it will stop falling. But if I slightly start to raise it, it resumes falling. I don't think its the cylinders because bucket doesn't fall when left overnight. Sounds like a control valve issue and apparently, they cost a fortune! Any ideas. I apologize in advance if my question displays my ignorance!

I would make sure that all the control linkage is intact.

Just for giggles, put the 3 point hitch all the way down.

You’re also complaining about some engine issues in another thread.

What’s the service history of the tractor?

Number of hours, last services, etc.?

It could be a hydraulic fluid / filter issue.
Would effect loader if it's foaming the fluid, and it would effect the HST, causing shuttering.

Sounds like the load check valve in the loader valve is not working. May be a broken spring, stuck open, or jammed with some flotsam. Its item number 40 in the parts diagram but it appears the kit is NLA. I suggest you disassemble, clean, and inspect. Maybe you will get lucky and thats all it takes.

Checked linkage, all looks ok. Of course, I really don't know what it is supposed to look like! Both up/down and curl have a little bit of play/wiggle before they do anything. Seems reasonable.....

Yes, thought it would be simpler to have two threads instead of confusing the discussion. Tractor has 930 hours and I have changed filters and bodily fluids at recommended intervals or more often. Tractor has never been in the shop.
