Replaced a seal on the front axle on a 4x4 Kubota L4701. Calls for UDT2 Kubota oil. Closest place I can get this oil is a 60 mile trip. Is there any other fluid that I could use that I might get closer? thank you, gregjo1948

Since the front axle is totally isolated from the rest of the tractor, you do NOT have to use SUDT. Whatever oil that'll flow in the heat of summer and cold of winter, like 80w90 will be fine

It may be just mud in around the outer seal if that's what's leaking, if so try cleaning it with a pressure washer.

OM says SAE80-SAE90 gear oil is acceptable.

You can use the UDT2 or gear oil. The tractor comes filled with UDT2, so if you go with gear oil, be sure to drain completely before filling with gear oil. Don’t mix them.
