Front Bevel Leak

Despite a new replacement (twice) of the oil seal between the bevel gear and front gear, I still have a slow oil leak at the wheel pivot point on one side. I believe that I have followed the procedures correctly in the shop manual and carefully reassembled the parts each time. I even invested in a nice shop press to make the job go easy. I did not notice any scaring or obvious deformation of the housings during cleaning and assembly. Is it worth trying a new set of bearings, snap rings, and shims during the next seal replacement attempt? Has anyone else experienced a continued leak despite seal replacement?

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

I believe that model also has orings and backup rings at the pivot of the axle. Doesnt that model have the driveshaft offset from the center pivot? Is it leaking at the drive shaft or at the pivot?

Evidently, I misused the term pivot. I did have issues with the axle pivot, but a new set of bushings and Teflon rings fixed that.

The problem is the bevel gear at the wheel locations. Sorry for the confusion that I caused -and- thank you for your reply.
