Seems that filling the front axle with gear oil is a several day process. The manual says it takes 9.5 qts but after about 6 qts it starts leaking out the fill hole. Wait a while and it will only take a little more. I check if every few hours after running the tractor and every time I check it, it will take more oil. Does it take that long for the oil to fill the bevel gear cases?

I also noticed that when I remove the filler cap there is air leaking in or out of the filler hose, either a vacuum or pressure in the axle case. There is no vent hose that I can find on the axle. Is this normal?

Is there a vent - or fill plug - on the opposite side? Some have them. If so, loosen/remove that plug/vent ant the axle will fill a lot faster.

Care to walk out to the tractor and have pencil and paper in hand and write down the model number, as Kubota never made a 5750HSTC-3. 🤨

Oops, never noticed that I had the wrong model #listed in my profile. Is there a way I can correct that? It is a L5740.
However, according to both my owners manual and WSM it is listed as 9.5 qts. the L3240, L3540 & L3940 have a 6.9 qt capacity. No models are listed as 6.3 qts. Is my information incorrect?
Also even after putting over 6 qts in it and rechecking every so often I am still able to add more. Never measured the total amount I put in, but I'd say it's no way 9.5 qts.
I tried to copy what's in my manual to this post, but I don't know how to do that.

May be confused about a lot of things, but I did figure out how to fix the model # of my tractor!

Keep adding until it’s full. Use the book numbers as a rough estimate.

It might take several days depending on temperature with gear oil. Just don’t forget about it being low.

My M6040 took topping off 4 days with UDT2 to be completely full. Which flows better than gear oil.

Your front axle should never be full of fluid!

Here is a screenshot of the operator's manual for an L5740HSTC-3 as theOPM always has to most up-to-date information.

So there is a huge discrepancy between manuals?
Did they change the axles between the L5740 and the L5740-3 and info didn't get transferred to the -3 older manuals?
I hate giving bad info! 🤨

Thanks for providing the right answer! ;)

I edited out my bad info!
