The outside of the front tires on my 3940 are wearing doesn’t appear there’s any thing to set other than the tow does that mean they’re towed into far. As always thanks for the great help.

That wear pattern more likely results more from camber (and running on pavement.) than toe-in. If it were toe-in wear the inside of the tread would show severe scraping/shedding toward the inside.

Take those tires off and reverse them or switch them to the other side to even-out the wear.

Looks to be 4WD. Cannot adjust. My L4400 is the same. In fact there was a discussion about this a couple of weeks ago.

That’s why the best solution is to reverse/reorientate the tires, as camber is not adjustable.

Keep tabs on the inflation pressure too. The look a bit low.

you could make a shim for the housing extension where it bolts to the main housing (thicker end at the bottom) but to be honest the juice may not be worth the squeeze probably easier to rotate them regularly.

A Japanese engineer just read that and did a swan dive onto his great grandfather's sword.

Wheel alignment is a game of give and take. When you run a out of adjustment or no means of adjustment exists, you can compensate with another.
Short version.. yes, setting the toe out a little more will help with getting even tire wear (when they are replaced) .

How old are the tires? Sometimes things are not really a problem that need to be fixed. Shimming the front might fix the tire problem but it would in turn cause additional problems such as oil leaks or wear on the gears etc. The tractor has not been built for seven years. More then likely the tires are original and they lasted at least 7 years. Turn them around and get a few more miles out of them. Replace them when they are worn out and get a lot of use out of the new ones. Worry about bigger problems.

The factory specifications should be followed instead of taking anecdotal jury-rigging from the internet. Why? Because if you change ONE thing you will adversely affect something elsewhere.... for example turning-effort could be changed that might increase wear on the axle, the bearings, the hydrualic steering components, etc etc. Camber also affects the geometry of 4-wheel-drive in turns.
The least expensive and most effective fix for this is to simply re-mount the tires... either by keeping the SAME direction of tire rotation by moving each tire to the opposite side... or if you don’t mind changing the predominant direction of rotation (ag tires would be more adversely affected) by rerversing them on the same wheel.
