Mt old T1600H is leaking water through a freeze plug hole. Is there any way too repair?I removed the starter and could see the leak crack.

That's usually an easy fix. Pop out the plug, catch all the coolant with a bucket below it, pop in a new plug. They're pretty cheap.

Do you just push the old plug through?
No - pull the plug out.

Do a search for "freeze plug" here, and I think you'll see some suggestions.

Seen several different ways to take 'em out.

When I installed a blockheater in my Kubota RTV I had to remove a frost plug in the location where the heater goes. Using a slotted screw driver and a small hammer I tapped repeatedly on one portion of the edge of the frost plug which caused it to rotate out on the opposite side and allowed that protruding edge to be grasped with a pair of pliers...just needed to be careful not to punch the plug into the block.

If there is a spot, on the FP, that looks sound, take a drill/driver, and screw in a SDST sheed metal screw, and then take a crow bar or cat's paw, or dent puller, and pry or hammer it out...:D:D
