Fram Oil Filter for BX2680?

Does anyone know the number for a fram filter that would fit the sub-compact 2680BX tractor??Dealer is way too expensive.

Engine oil filter shows as HH150-32094; cross ref to Fram PH3593A.

NAPA has cross reference tables for Kubota filters.

I don't know what dealer you go through, but it shouldn't cost more than about 12 bucks for Kubota oil filter for that tractor. Heck, order one from Amazon or ebay.

Fram is one of the worst filters on the market. (Much supporting evidence available on that.)
Wix, NAPA, Luberfiner, are reliable substitutes, but Genuine Kubota is not overpriced, IMO.

Richard - I’ve used Fram in a few other machines over the years.

In this instance I literally had the “equivalent” Fram filter in one hand, and an OEM Kubota filter in the other hand.

Something about that Fram filter just didn’t seem right or good….. I keep it on the shelf in case I need it in an emergency, but it will never be used for more than a few minutes.

I'd rather run a used Kubota filter instead of a new fram. That's probably the worst filter on the market.

It’s interesting to me that WalMart sells Fram, Motorcraft, Mobil-1, K&N, and a few selections in MoPar, Purolator, and of course, their own SuperTech brand (which I consider as good as Purolator and is a LOT better than Fram)…. My main point is that when you pull into their oil-change-station and buy their generic oil change service….they use a “universal” Fram filter that doesn’t even meet any specific part-number, but is instead a wide-application filter with a number that cannot be cross-referenced at all. This is interesting to me because WalMart certainly has a liability to insure that they don’t harm a customers’ vehicle so their policy must be that the generic “one size fits all” Fram is satisfactory for the cheap oil change market.…. Oh well…. (and I have used the WM “Pit Stop” oil change service in my pickup, which costs $19.95 and is performed by evacuator, Quaker-State conventional oil, and that Fram universal filter …. and had no particular problems (other than the time they used Lock-Tite on my drain plug which required complete change-out of the oil pan. I submitted a complaint to them, and they paid the $600 repair bill for the local auto repair business to change that oil pan and perform another oil change.)

I’m just pointing out that oil filter cross-reference charts and specs reveal that there are basically only 3 main features oil filters must meet: Thread-size/type, by-pass valve, and filter-media. Fram has the cheapest construction of all filters I’ve ever seen…. and I’ve seen many filters…perhaps in the thousands-range over a 50 year career of auto/marine/aviation, both as a technician and an end-user. While in-a-pinch I’d not be afraid of Fram… I’d certainly not choose that brand if I have a choice….and I’d choose the WM SuperTech filter over a Fram.

a friend of mine blew up two Ls motors in his race car, turns out the fram filter was starving it of oil. And reviews on YouTube aren’t so good on them either lol

I wouldn't put a Fram filter on a demolition derby car.

Fram Ultras are not bad, Rock Auto had the FPS version, without the grippy paint, for less than $2 a few months ago…

Wix would be my choice, rather than the 51064, I would run the 51356…

Baldwin 1431 is another good choice, but Unicorn Tears, unobtainium…

Look at Rock Auto for good prices…

The Kubota filters are made by some company in Mexico so I'm not sure they are any better but they are Kubota approved!
