This looks like an active site for Kubota tractors but not much for excavators. I'm wondering if there is a site where excavator owners hang out? These Kubotas are wonderful machines and I imagine there must be a forum for them somewhere.

Thanks

Maybe you should ask the same question under the "Site Suggestions". I am sure the site guys may be able to help you ;) The only thing I know about excavators is that when my little backhoe wasn't quite up for the task I rented a Kubota excavator and knocked it out very quick :D

I've never seen a forum just for excavators but you're right. Kubota make a great little machine. I had the chance to use a U 45 last year and it was very nice.

I wouldn't mind an excavator section either. My avatar is lonely around here.

the more information I can get on gray excavators the better I have been looking into buying one but I have come to a road block for parts and manuals
The mini excavators sold in the japan domestic market just seem to be one size in between the North american models. I have called a few of the dealers this site has recommended but they are scratching their heads too. I'll have to just keep (digging) around.

The nice thing about a mini is that it can swing 360 degrees. It can get into tight places that a backhoe/tractor can't. It is quick and easy to back fill with the blade.

When building our commercial kitchen, I set the a/c unit through the hole and put it on some saw horses. I then installed the cage and pushed the unit in. I set the double oven stove through the door where I could finish moving it with a hand cart. I also set the triple sink through the door. You couldn't get anything else near the door to move it in.

They are handy for many things other than digging.
