Hey folks! New to the world of orange here, but after spending time as a mechanic for a fleet of Bobcats, I knew my first personal machine would definitely be a Bota. And I love everything, except for the weight of my pocket book after visiting the parts dept!
My new Bota svl 75-3 wasn’t ordered with the machine side wiring harness needed to control the necessary electrical functions on attachments like snow blowers and anything else that needs electric over hydraulic functions. So, head on over to the Kubota dealer and order one up right? Great, except they are close to $800! I searched the internets high and low and couldn’t find one that ran all of the functions on both controllers unless I went through Kubota. So I bought one from the dealer. Then, over the next month or so, I reverse engineered a better harness. How is it better? Start off with the wiring. Stock uses 20 gauge wire, this one uses 18. The protective sheath on the stock harness is only thin plastic wire loom. This one starts off with Belden 28336A-E64067-G heat and pressure rated 9 strand cable. It is then wrapped in wire loom for extra protection. The pins are genuine Deutsch solid pins, not the split pins that come in the stock harness. This harness uses OEM Kubota clips in some area, and heavier duty fasteners in others. It uses the same Deutsch waterproof connectors as the stock harness, and the same machine side connector as well. The protective boot on the 14 pin Deutsch is also more robust. It also includes the mount to mate it up to the hydraulic block. It’s all here, spend twice as much on a factory harness with half the quality if you want, but I guarantee you’ll be happier with this or I’ll buy it back.
Right now, this is only for the 75-3. If there is enough demand, I can certainly look into other models as well. Let me know!
