Hi all,

So my shift boot had a hole in it and the transmission fluid was milky. I've now got my front end loader being run from the stock hydraulic pump.

I drained the tranny and I cleaned the filter. I've flushed the tranny with about 2 gallons of new fluid but it the return is still frothy and a bit dark. I've been refilling the tranny and draining the return straight to a bucket to flush out the system.

What should I be looking for to know the fluid is flushed and good to go? Is a bit of darkness and frothiness an indication of pressurisation, or is it still the old fluid mixing with the new?

I hope that picture is a "before" picture?

If you still have "milky" colored fluid - you need to drain and fill more and more............ until it stays the same color as fluid going in.

Order another boot - pop off the gear shift knob which may be fun - then place the near boot in boiling water for few minutes, should allow easy placement.

Do you have any drain point on the lower point of the rear axle drive? You may need to drain it more completely if you can.

Look at the pump inlet and see if there is a rubber hose where you can rig up a inlet from a bucket. See this thread for example
And search FAST TRANSMISSION FLUSH to see many threads on the subject that seems to be your problem

And the title of this thread is misleading with a misspelled word that I think you can change

Yes, that is the before picture.

I've edited the title, on my cell phone so fat fingers causes typos.

I will search fast transmission flush and see what else I can do.

Thanks a lot

Look for more then 1 drain plug as well. Kubota is notorious for having many in the bottom of the trans/ drop boxes for the rear wheels. My B7510 has 3 that I know of. There's also the same fluid that goes through the power steering, and up front to the cooler, although the method in the link should flush all that out. Or at least enough that it shouldn't matter. Being a gear drive tractor I'd 100% buy some cheap oil to use for the flush, then drain and refill with whatever you intend to leave in it.
