Looking at a 12 year old Kubota utility tractor. Paint and plastic has good, original orange color on chassis & loader. All four rims, however, are closer to pink than orange. No peeling, just pink & chalky. Is there a reasonable way to reverse this, or would time be better spent stripping and repainting?

Not looking to enter any tractor shows but would like it to be a solid '7 out of 10'.

TIA for any input. Cosmetic restoration is not my strong suit.

If I want to take of oxidation on equipment I use Zep purple cleaner (Home Depot) or automotive store as Castrol Purple cleaner, or generics as purple power.
Try that first, then if that doesn't do the job, just repaint, I would't bother with stripping it, just a good scrub with a Scotch Brite and a strong cleaner then mask and repaint.

Thanks for the info NIW! I have the better part of a gallon of NAPA Purple Power concentrate. Are you using it full strength for this type of job?

Yep full strength, spray or wipe it on, let it sit for a about 10 min, and use a soft scrub brush when you hose it off. ;)

Alright, will do a small bit on the inside of a wheel if negotiations continue. See if it will be an issue or not. The shallow part of me is not excited to spend a good chunk of change to ride around on pink rims... :D

Thanks again for the help!
