Now that we are back up and running I needed to find a way to move my travel trailer around in the drive. The tractors TPH can lift the boat and dump trailers fine but the camper has to much tongue weight. After kicking some ideas around in my head I came up with this. I didnt want to go out and buy any materials yet till I saw that it would work. I could not be happier (besides having a bigger tractor) with how it works. All the tongue rests on the casters and the tractor just push and pulls the load. I borrowed the hitch amd used some casters that I had to try it out. I plan on building The hitch to fit around my needs. I am going to use larger semi-pneumatic casters mounted on telescopic square tubing for adjustablity and removal. Getting ready to go on a trip and will tackle that project when I get back. I will post it In the fabrication section of the forum.

***8220;Stage one***8221; completed. Time to add fluids and wanted to see what the consensus is on what transmission fluid to use. Should I use Kubota UDT, universal H/T fluid, or just and 80-90 gear oil?
Might be a little late... Kubota UDT or any UDT compliant fluid would be a great choice. ;)

Fish, Again I say that you have done a beautiful job refurbishing your tractor. :D What I looked up is if you have a straight gear type transmission and not a hydrostatic, it calls for 80wt gear oil. I wouldn't be afraid to use a 75-90 wt full synthetic.

I know a lot of yall have been following along as I go through my restoration and I didnt want to leave yall hanging. I have not done anything since the hitch build. The warmer weather showed up and priorities have changed for the moment. The tractor is running and looking good so far. All that is really left is a little sheet metal work and paint the tins. I hope to work on it over the next month or so and get it finished up. As soon as I get some stuff done I will post it up. I do want to take a minute to say thank you to all for the help, suggestions, and encouragement on this project. This forum has a wealth of information and great members eager to help others out. So with that I say, Thank you.

Fish, What you have done so far is first class. You will catch some time to finish it up soon. I am in the same boat but with a 1967 Triumph 200CC Tiger Cub Motorcycle. I sent a bunch of the engine parts to a triumph Cub specialist to get the crank rebuilt, the cylinder bored and the head done among other things. But the weather here has warmed up, the weeds are growing and I have a restored 1955 European model VW that I need to get ready to sell....Plus my back is on the fritz and I have to go to UCLA Monday for a look see by the Dr that has done my last two back surgeries.
Looking forward to seeing your tractor when it is finished. I wish I hadn't sold my 1979 B5100D Kubota.

I have a B6000. Reading this thread has been very interesting. I'm curious where I can add an oil pressure gauge to my tractor. Also, is there an aftermarket front loader for a B6000?

Might look at the location of the oil sending unit. Put a "T" there and then have to light and a gauge. The threads are not NPT, but I think I used a brass fitting and "made it work". That was on a B6100.

Another question. The hydraulic lift on my B600 which holds up my Howard Tiller or box scraper, won't hold. It slowly leaks and lowers. Is this an easy fix? A seal I need to replace? Somewhat external to access or more significant disassembly to address this issue?

Seconds. I'll lift the tiller and it will sag back to the ground in 10 seconds or so.
That is a little quicker than "slow". :(

I would suspect that a seal is leaking, but you might want to fiddle with the control lever just to verify that there is no happy medium between raise and lower.
