Hello everyone!
I have just purchased my first tractor and would like to get some general information to begin with. I have done some searching here and on the net for some of the answers but no luck.
The tractor is a 1998 L3010 with LA481 loader and Bradco 3375 backhoe.
First question, what are the lifting specs for the loader and does it have “float” capabilities?
Second, what does the HST on the rear fender stand for? (nevermind this one I feel stupid)
Third, what does the E002-BCS on the engine cover stand for?
I originally was in the market for a BX2700. I am in the ornamental fence and gate business and needed a small tractor for digging four foot square holes for gate posts and drilling fence post holes with an auger.
Went to look at one at a dealer in Texas, but when I got there it wouldn’t start and was shown the 3010. This tractor was kept outside and was obviously not very well taken care of. All of the hydraulic lines were leaking as well as the front cylinders. It has 1700 hours and a little bigger than what I really need, but after a bit of haggling I got it for $8000. It seems to do everything it is supposed to when full of fluid other than that the only thing I can find wrong is the steering feels a bit sloppy (I will address this issue in a later topic when I look into it a little more). After playing with it a short while and taking a better look it seems this will not be very user friendly to change between the backhoe and auger on a regular basis.
So, question number four, should I fix this one and sell it (the 3010 seems to be going for around $14,000 around here) and buy BX2700 with a Kubota hoe and would that save me any time changing between the hoe and auger.
Thanks to everyone in advance and I am sure I will be posting many different questions in the very near future.
