I just won an auction for a B2410 4WD HST with a soft cab and the belly mower. This will be my first tractor and it was purchased for a small farmett. It will primarily be used for mowing duty, light gardening, and some snow removal. (We live in NC so the snow removal will be on the order of once or twice a year) The unit has 2000 hours on it - I'd have preferred much less, but it was what I could find & afford. I will pick up on Friday evening. Auction price $5600.
Is this price reasonable? I will honor it regardless (assuming tractor is as described) but it would be nice to know if I got it for a decent price or not. I was unaware of this forum until AFTER I bid and won the tractor, or I would have asked this question before![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Would someone mind sharing anything special I should be looking for when I pick up? I won't be paying until after I verify that the unit is as advertised in the auction description. There were no issues disclosed in the description requiring service or repair and the seller is an experienced equipment reseller - so I should find a tractor with cosmetic wear only - at least I hope that is the case... I'm driving 6.5 hours to pick it up.
The back story (I've been told) is that the tractor belonged to a landscaping contractor who traded it in on a bigger piece of equipment. With the soft cab and the original sales dealer sticker indicating PA when the unit first sold, I'm thinking the tractor was primarily run for snow removal - but I have no way of knowing.
My number one requirement is that this tractor HAS to make it though this mowing season before any major repairs/service. We've got about 5 acres to mow and it cost over $4000 last season to pay someone to mow it. We did not have the funds to buy something that we could mow with due to our moving expenses and the fact that we don't have/use credit. This is an income tax refund purchase we've been waiting on for over a year - so if it goes sideways I'm really up the creek.
Update - video of tractor is here:

Thanks for any help!
