I paired the L2501 with a Titan 1205 5ft rotary cutter. I was concerned about the PTO HP, but it did great. HST in M range. Rolling hills. The attached pics are for anyone curious about how this setup will perform. I ran it at a fast pace with very little bogging of the engine. Outside temp in the low 90s. Tractor ran at normal temp. FEL was a must to knock the briars out of the way.

Great job, just be careful and know what's possibly in that tall growth.

Nice place. When I did my place the first time I had the FEL on and low with a Piranha tooth bar on it. Really helps to rip out those pesky small saplings and field olives by the roots. Prior owner logged the property about 10 yrs back and left me all types of gifts in the tall grass. I still leave my FEL on when brush cutting. Nice to have in the woods when I get in to some mud and move branches/logs out of the way.

I just finished the 2nd cut on 12 Acres and I'm still finding rocks and stumps during the lower 2nd cut. It hadn't ben been cut in 10 or so years. Ran the FEL down hoping to guide me .. LOL. Marked them out and will start digging them out next week.
Gotta Love and OLD FARM.

Impressive. You just wouldn't think the little tractor would do so well with a 5 ft cutter. I currently use an older bigger tractor to keep my place cut, but good to know the L2501 can run a 5 ft cutter.

Not to take away from the OP, but I did some hogging today also. 2610 did just fine, bogged a bit in tall stuff(like over the rear fender tall), but I won’t let it get that bad again.

Thanks for all the replies. My biggest concern was mowing over a fawn. I left about 1/2 acre alone for browse. I still have about a 1/3 of the field left to cut. I kind of dread getting finished because I'll have to wait a year or find something else to cut. The next step is to disc for food plots, also a first with the L2501.

You can mow it more then once a year. You will be surprised at how well it will clean up with frequent mowings. You have a great start. Those are some good looking hills.

What kind of disk do you have? How big? And of course the must be a video of the Bota in action.

I have the Land Pride DH1060 disc. The deer use this area for browse and cover, which is why I let it grow up so much. I cut most of it last fall and surprisingly it grew back that much. Getting to this field requires a precarious creek crossing and a hill climb on a narrow washed out trail, so getting equipment to it is a challenge. I'd like to spray it, but no way to get the sprayer back there. I'll work on the video. On a side note: the original Postal wagon trail from Knoxville to Nashville, TN follows that creek across the property and is still visible.

Be interested to know how your machine handles that disk. I've been looking at a 4' disc from Everything Attachments but have yet to pull the trigger. Interested more in smoothing out rough spots at this point.
