Hey everybody,
i have been a quiet reader to this forum which helped me a lot bringing my B6100 back into shape!

I got a question about a Zylinder which is placed on the back of a B7001D which i bought to put the front loader on my B6100D.

i never seen this on a kubota before and wonder what it is for.(i am pretty new to hydraulics).
It was connected to the connector under the seat.

Thanks a lot,
Stefan

That looks to be either a lift assist cylinder or a down pressure cylinder.

Very rare and not a normal option.

If only one side, it may have been added to tilt 3pt attachment.

Nah, it won't work for that. For it to be a tilt cyl, it would have to go from the rockshaft upper arm to the lower arm. If you look, this one goes from the upper rockshaft arm to the frame of the tractor. It is either a lift assist, a means of providing down pressure, or the 3pt quit working and some one jerry rigged this cyl in place instead of fixing it.

Factory weld and factory paint... So factory no very likely jerry rigged or aftermarket. ;)
NIW, you know these units better than anyone else I know on here, so you're probably right. But still, the paint is definitely factory color, but that weld onto a cast arm looks homey to me, as well as the hose routing doesn't look like the usual quality of factory stuff to me.
I could be wrong though, I was once before. Lol.

Thanks for the replys,
the original cylinder inside is working fine so it might be an assist cylinder to lift up more weight maybe.
