Hello everyone.

While getting acquainted with my new-to-me L2050DT I discovered a leaking line that leads from just above my oil filter mount straight to center panel and I'm guessing to one of my idiot lights. It appears to be oil but wasn't dirty like the crankcase oil was.

Changed the oil, oil filter, air filter and fuel filter (that was fun...) and this morning bled the lines so I hope she fires up and runs ok later.

I've studied a number of online parts diagrams to no avail in identifying this line and wonder if any of you knew? Would prefer to have a replacement in hand before proceeding further.

Pictures are worth a thousand words in this case.
I would suspect your talking about a hydraulic line for the power steering but that's a WAG.

Does the tractor have an oil pressure gauge? If yes I would guess that is the line. Oil is clean in it because the oil does not circulate within the line so it is filled with the first new clean oil from when engine first started.

Sorry it took a bit to get a pic but hope this helps. Could this be a tach or hobbs meter cable? Where the strain support ends is where the oil was collected. I've wiped it off the line as well as the underside of the air intake line and ran it a few minutes with nothing else showing up.

Haven't had much time to put it to work and will try and clean engine once this next cold spell passes.

Yep that's the tach cable.
if your getting a lot of oil out of it, I suspect someone just oiled it, as the oil should not be anywhere near clean.
