A couple of months into ownership, with 60 hours, and yesterday I noticed my first failure:

IMG_3694[1].jpg

A broken o-ring on the right side FEL hydraulic rod. Found them intact on the other rods. At first I thought it was some sort of wiper designed to keep dirt out of they cylinder, but they stay at the end of the rod, and a little research indicates that there just to keep paint off the juncture. Is this correct? I'm good a worrying about nothing, but this REALLY looks like nothing to me.

Your research is correct, they're nothing to worry about. Enjoy your tractor!

Take a razor blade, and cut the other one off. Its only there to keep paint off the chrome, on the cyl rod seal wiping area...:D:D
