i found that the hose had been rubbing something.. now to find out where and use a spring or bungy cord to keep the new hose from suffering the same fate… when i get this project completed. i think KT will be needing a make over…. as i had a large branch put a dent in the roof. but that is why the roof is there…. to keep the driver / operator safe...

A bungy or a spring will normally do the trick but they also make "line savers" that work really well. You can get them in different sizes so they fit tight to the line in question. You may not have any interest but it's another option.

Check local hydraulic or hose shop for spiral wrap hose saver. Not cheap but will pay for itself over and over. In some places I've used first layer tight to hose and second outer layer loose. Stuff is great for saving hoses and is completely reusable.
