Sorry, havent back on here lately, took a break tonight from working on anything
so found some time to check out the site and see whats new
I have ran about 20 logs through the processor after pulling the spitter assembly out of it to completely weld it up.
Everything works good except the log clamp.
Even though it does hold the log I am just not happy with it so I have taken it off and am in the process of building a new clamp/guide system
I turned some parts this evening for it and over the weekend I designed the clamp arms in Mastercam and set the cnc mill up and cut those out.
Tonight I made up the cylinder mounts also in Mastercam and now I need to get some material to machine them out of.
Sent off another order to Surplus Center for a couple more hoses and fittings
Hope this is the end of parts
There will be 2 cylinders plumbed together with each operating its own clamp arm.
When open they will act as a guide and when in place they will clamp down on the log.
I also have a pressure relief valve in line to limit the pressure that it takes to clamp the log solid
I will take a few pics shortly of the process of making the parts and hopefully this weekend of the processor running
As far as the saw it works very good and the splitter has had no problems splitting what I have cut
The saw mill brought me two loads of logs so I was running some of that material
