There are many roll bar fire extinguisher mounts made of nylon webbing and Velcro sold on Amazon. I bought one a couple of years ago and mounted to the ROPS. It was cheap and took less than a minute to mount it. Of course it can also be easily moved. It has stayed attached and never fallen off.

Which model tractor do you have? That must be a Craftsman toolbox. I'm wanting to do that with my soon-to-be-purchased L3902.

That extinguisher appears to have plastic firing grips.
A very bad idea!
The plastic grips have been known to break .....the ONLY time that you really need the extinguisher.
Note that "Lil Foot".....post #3, has the metal grip style, that everyone should hav.e.

MX6000. Yes it is an old craftsman tool box. I just removed the useless plastic tool box, and I put a plate of steel inside the toolbox to back the thin box metal then drilled the holes. It’s basically fastened with a u bolt on the ROPS crossbar. And I had room behind the SMV sign to also mount a small ammo box. I use that as a glovebox for small items. I did have to use a small flat bar of steel to extend the SMV sign further back to make room for the ammo box.

Have never had the handle itself break but my Scag Tiger Cub (Zero Turn Mower) burned to the ground because the 'plastic' Pull Pin broke off flush with the unit when I grabbed it to put out the fire.

No argument from me. Personally never seen a ' handle' break or heard of that happening, though I'm sure it 'could'.

The 'pull pin' on the other hand is a just a 'jammed extinguisher' waiting to happen.

I'm not as worried about the K tractor as I am about classic cars. This product has come on the market and is far superior IMO. I have the both 50 & 100 sec versions.

I've seen this online and am very intrigued. Will probably be getting these are the are far superior to other extinguishers.

Years ago found old article on TBN about Kiddie plastic handle fire extinguisher recall. Had bought many 5# for the farm houses and parents. Had replaced many due to low gauge pressure over the decades but kept the old ones. Some 30years old. Four of them met the recall. Kiddie sent hazardous material shipping boxes and had UPS pick them up. Sent 4 new metal handle fire extinguishers.

Those relying on insurance to make you whole from a disaster haven’t lived through a disaster.

On my open station tractor I mounted it on the side of the ROP first and it kept geting knocked out of the bracket. I finally moved it to the front right side of the ROP and it has remained secure there.

FYI Autozone use to have a good deal on a 5LB ABC extinguisher with a metal bracket.

Don't know offhand. Don't care really. I would rather let K deal with the burned tractor and not have to deal with my homeowners insurance over a forest, house or shop fire. I'll save everything else BEFORE the tractor. Same goes for the truck, car, toy hauler, ATVs, motorcycles, etc

And......Just how do you plan to "save everything else" when you are not present for the fire start?
I speak from experience!
I was 1,000 miles away when my fire started.

I left my open and had a heck of a time digging the mud nest out. Pretty sure the unit wouldn't have had enough pressure to dislodge it if I needed it.

As far as mounting goes I drilled the ROP and installed nut inserts to bolt the bracket on.

This discussion is about fire extinguishers. Which you would have to be present for. If you aren't present then a fire extinguisher is as good as an unloaded firearm.
10 miles or 1000 miles. Doesn't matter a bit unless you have a fire suppression system.
