I have a variety of batteries in my stuff and all are doing okay. I will shop around for specific uses.
My last two car batteries for my wife and granddaughter's vehicles I sprung for the Everstart MAXX batteries at Walmart. Those come with a 3 year replacement warranty. They don't offer any pro rated warranties any more.
Just replaced the two Walmart lawn tractor batteries I have in my 24 volt diesel generator.
When my John Deere tractor needed a battery I wanted a AGM and found a Bosch that fit for a good price at Pep Boys. Since then Pep Boys stopped selling parts. That battery is 6 years old and still working.
I have an Interstate group 31 in my backhoe. I had a friend working at interstate and was there having new cables made so I bought their battery. It is 5 years old now. I have to keep it plugged in to a solar maintainer to keep it up and ready. It will probably throw in the towel this winter.
On tractors with the battery in front of the radiator I try to find one that has a vent tube connection so I can vent it under the tractor. I don't think the battery that came in my Kubota has that.
