I've read through a number of threads on filters and found some interesting comments. I use Kubota filters. The difference in cost between Kubota filters and the ones that "may" meet the OE spec doesn't make me want to take any chances.

I do maintenance at least as frequently as recommended. Changing filters doesn't happen often enough to worry about the cost.

@chim - - well said.

While it's been a long while, the difference in my little BX filters from aftermarket to OEM were a $1 or $2.

I still have a motor oil FRAM filter on my shelf from 11 years ago. Fits my BX but is obviously wonky when comparing it to OEM.

I keep it for JIC (Just in case).

Still keep an OEM on the shelf too...... ;)
