BTW, I seem to remember hearing someone say eons ago, that if you couldn't get a car oil filter off, drive a screwdriver through it with a hammer and then use both hands to twist. Does that sound right?
Yep old mechanics trick to remove a stuck filter! ;)
Got an old Chevy years ago that I swore that someone used an impact to install the filter, it was a Perma install! Drove the screwdriver through it and ended up ripping the body of the filter off and still had to use a chisel to remove the base of the filter from the motor.
