I don’t mow lawns with my MX, but I do rotary cutting of native grass and brush in field conditions. I always cut with my loader and bucket on. I use it to pick up debris like down branches, ect… while I’m out there cutting.^All these, plus one more reason for me - visibility. The 50 acres I mow every year is very rough, with some big holes PLUS big mounds from where a badger has dug up a gopher. The bucket and the loader arms obscure a lot of my vision right around the tractor. And yes, I don't need to have all that weight bouncing around on rough terrain.
At least on my M7060 removing the loader assembly takes only a few minutes, so why not?
Don't feel bad. I have a summer set and winter set of R4's on rims. I put the new fresh ones on for winter. One year I did my wheel swap and took a pic of a project I was doing in yard with my tractor and sent to a friend. he replied back "I see you have your rear treads mounted backwards, what is the purpose of that?" To which I replied "I'm just a dumb ass" LOLLack of coffee that morning.

Actually, it's because I didn't know better. I thought it would pile all the mud in the middle of a rut (if it dug one) thereby filling the rut back in, BUT there was a thread on which way to mount grippy tires and...I've since learned differently.
Both of the OEM front tires are mounted on the rim the same way, so one of them is always backwards...however one is always forwards, so... I guess I should re-mount one so I can mount them both on the tractor the wrong way.![]()
My hydraulic connections are at the same location. It's very helpful to just back up about a foot or so after the loader is mechanically disconnected before disconnecting the hoses. That puts the connections right there in the open. Same deal for remounting the loader. Stop short enough so the connections can be made before getting things all cramped, then pull forward to make the mechanical connections.I just take my bucket off, never take my loader off to mow. I find the hydraulic connections to be in a terrible spot on the LX3310. They on the inside of the loader and between the hood. Not worth the effort to me.
What are you using for a mower? Two first today. Removed the FEL loader and mowed. It seemed so much easier vs having to worry about hitting something. And tractor regenerated for first time since I owned it. Very uneventful. Just kept mowing. L3560LE.
