I have a 2002 M9000 4wd cabbed tractor. I wanted a FEL for it but when I checked at kubota dealer they said the factory loader was no longer available. I then focused on aftermarket and ended up finding a good used woods FEL but it had been on an open station tractor. Was told I could get a control valve for cabed tractor . I went ahead and bought it thinking I would check on the woods valve because i would rather have a joystick control but I have three remotes on the tractor and thought i would just extend hydraulic lines and use two of the current remotes for now. I have a John Deere 4230 in a partnership with FEL connected to two remotes that works fine.

When I hooked up this way the FEL will work at least sometimes but not correctly,
sometimes arm will work but bucket won't raise completely or arm control will change bucket position.

Also at one point hydraulic fluid leaked out from line or maybe a pressure relief valve on right rear bottom of engine.

By the way a woods dealer quoted $1600 for the joystick cabled valve and installation of it.

Question: Is there a reason FEL can't be hooked up to rear remotes on this tractor such as too much force needed etc. ? Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.

Guessing that your hydraulics on the tractor are open center, this means everything must be plumbed in series to/from each set of valves.
Have you plumbed 4 hoses from your remotes to boom and bucket cylinders, or have you plumbed one remote to the old FEL valve?
Perhaps a few pics of what you have done would make it clearer. If you are using separate remotes for boom and bucket, and they are fitted/plumbed correctly, everything should work. However you'll need to check the specs of your loader against the relief setting of your tractor, as generally a loader valve has it's own relief, which may be lower than the tractor main relief, so you loader is now running at tractor relief pressure, which may not be good if there is a difference in specs.
Do you have a service manual for your tractor, if you do, post the hydraulic schematic for it.

I am using two sets of the three remotes one set for up down and one set for bucket . So there are four separate hoses going to the loader. Exactly the same as the hookup for the cylinders to operate my disc , grader blade , cultimulcher etc.
I can take pics but not till I go to the land where tractor is in a few days but i don't think this would be particularly helpful.

I think you may be correct about the pressure relief I have also been using some hydraulic fluid if i operate the loader not sure if I do operating disc cylinder but I will check on that. I dont have a manual but I will look at the link you provided.I may change the hydraulic fluid and filters, but i still can't understand why it will lift FEL up and down but won't operate bucket much of the time even if the bucket is the only accessory hydraulic being used. Only other thing I can think of to explain it is if there is an obstruction in the hydraulic lines to bucket

Thanks for reply
