This has been a helpful thread, thank you. I have a related question regarding my L245DT with 1200 loader. I bought my used L245DT 6 months ago and have been picking away at repairs and other deferred maintenance. For the FEL, the welds between the vertical supports to the frame bracket flanges are partially torn and I plan to take the loader off entirely to repair and weld. It may take 1-3 weeks or me to get to all of the loader repairs done before its ready to put back on and I'd like to use the tractor and 3-point hydraulics in the meantime. Since I don't necessarily have to pull the three lines that go to the FEL in order to take it off, I think the simplest solution is to connect the pump supply and PB lines (with a simple fem-fem adapter) at the valve end before I take the loader off. I can put a simple cap on the end of the return line to the tank to keep it clean in the interim. I suppose I could also get a short male-to-male hyd hose to connect the pump supply to PB/3-pt at the oil pressure block but either way the effect is the same.
Are there any concerns I'm missing regarding connecting the pump supply line directly to the PB/3-pt? My understanding is that (if I didn't have the aluminum block installed on top of the "oil pressure block") the stock cover for the oil pressure block would normally route the pump supply directly to the 3-point in this fashion anyways and would just rely on the single standard pressure relief valve.
I also still need to confirm the connection type and size for the hoses, I'm guessing 7/8" SAE 45deg Flare but TBD...
