I am looking to add a FEL to my M5030SU. My dealer has recommended the BushHog 2547. I am concerned that my tractor is 2WD but my dealer says that is not a concern. The FEL is a "front-end push" style. I am unfamiliar with this terminolgy.

Does anyone have and knowledge of this FEL type or any recommendations.

Thanks

My Dad's M4030SU is a 2WD and has a Bush Hog FEL on it. It didn't do a very good job with the FEL till we added fluid to the tires. It was a huge improvement. We also made a counter weight for it by filling a 55 gal. drum with conrete. I have no idea what they mean by the "front-end-push" type. Good Luck!

I couldn't find much info on the front push loaders. About the only thing I found was that they are designed for low hp 4wd tractors. I read that on the Bushhog site.

According to my dealer, "Front-push" means the FEL mounts to the standard location at the back of the engine and there is also a frame that goes down each side of the tractor that wraps around the front and is achored there also.

I currently have a bracket with weights on the front. I think the previous owner added the weights up front to counter-weight rounds bales when using the 3-point hay fork to move hay bales. I plan to make a bracket and move the weights to the back when using the FEL to load hay bales.

I'll keep y'all posted after I get the FEL added.

Thanks for the replies.
