Not a pistol but they are a problem in my Ruger 10/22.
Winchester SUPER-X is my standard plinking round.

Wife's ruger sr22 will not cycle those either.

I have an older Remington Nylon 66 and it is quite fussy on the ammo it can feed. I have a ruger 10/22 and it will eat almost anything. Sometimes the ammo uses dirtier powder and and it starts to coat the chamber so to speak causing misfeeds. I have also seen where the weaker casings are used on cheap shells and they expand enough during firing that they slow the cycling of the auto down to stop it. I also have a Marlin bolt and on occasion with some shells have to put more pressure on ejecting certain ones. Competition target folks run loads of test to find the perfect ammo for their guns. That is why in the higher calibers most of them just start reloading their own so they can keep every detail perfect. Of course rim fires can not be reloaded thus the extensive testing if they are in part of competition.

some guns are finicky on the ammo they use. Just keep trying different brands, till you find one that works...

My 22 is a revolver, so no issues there. I do have issues with the federal ammo in my remington 270 semi auto. Will cycle a couple rounds fine then either the third or fourth round will hang up when it ejects. It will load one round without fully ejecting the other. You can run winchester rounds through it till the barrel is cherry red with out issue.

Same problem with Federal in my Phoenix 22 semi-auto. I think it's their dies. I think the bottom edge of the rim shoulder isn't as consistently square and the extractor slips off before they clear the chamber. It's picky on ammo.
On the other hand, I think my S&W SDVE and Hi-Point .40's would shoot gravel if they had to.

I have a browning buck mark bought in 87, it light strikes quite a bit with 22 rounds.....cycle them out and re-fire them and then they work. Rim fire ammo these days kinda suck! Been shooting the hell out of some 9mm and 40 cal though, ammo is easier to find!
