What direction would the fan pulley bolt on the crankshaft undo looking at the bolt end or the front of the crankshaft? The engine turns RH or clockwise, so I'm guessing it will undo the same way. The bolt is on a 3 cylinder diesel Kubota engine. Thanks.

I wonder if the same rule applies to fan bolt as applies to wheel bolts or studs. I remember years back when the bolts or nuts on the left side wheels were left hand thread. I also have seen bolts in turning shafts come loose mainly due to them being not absolutely tight on a shaft turning RH direction, more or less due to the wobble effect.

This might be a question for mechanical engineers on the EngTips.com web site.

I do believe, It's just a normal RH thread on most if not all Kubota motors.

yes wolfman is right they should go your standard rh thread. At least thats the way they go on mine v1505. should be a 10 mm bolt. they may have locktite on them to just an fyi, depending on if they have ever been removed since the factory
