F3680 mower quitting

My father was having trouble getting his mower started and it looks like the starter needs to be replaced. After that issue the mower will run for 15-20 minutes and then quit. 700 hours with regular maintenance. Fuel filter was just replaced and we also have a filter on the 200 gallon tank. Any thoughts on trouble shooting?

Check fuel cap vent. Does it have 2 fuel filters?

I'm not sure on the number of filters.

It shuts off while mowing. Seat safety switch is also disabled.

Actually dad just called. The solenoid on the fuel pump is getting hot then the mower quits.

Yep. Got him going the first time and told him I'd be out in the morning to look at it. He's not patient...

Look at these 2 parts diagrams.

First there are two fuel filters with an electric lift pump between them.

You need to be clear what your Dad is referring to.

The diesel engine fuel injection pump has an electric solenoid mounted on it to shut the engine down when the key is turned off or safety systems detect a problem.

I assume it's the engine stop solenoid. Dad ordered parts so I'll find out Tuesday.
