Key switch seems to work properly. I’m thinking fuel shutoff solenoid but the engine runs until it is released to the on position. It did this a few times but then started and ran fine til I shut it off. Now it wont fix itself. Thanks in advance.
F3080 starts but shuts off when the key is released.

Probably the run position of the shut off solenoid is not working properly.
Fuel is ON in start position but is OFF in run position of the key. Test or replace the solenoid that shuts down the tractor.

Thank you for the input. Turns out the replay that keeps the fuel shutoff open needs a lot of voltage. The battery was low when I picked it up after buying it. Put it on a charger with 60 amps, it stared and ran fine. i did not put anew battery in but will get one tomorrow. Again thank you.

Yes the hold coil does take quite a bit of juice to hold it in the run position.
