Hello, how is everyone? I have been reading the posts for a couple of weeks, and signed up a few days ago. I need to see if I can find out approximately when my little mower was made. The engine serial number is D950697554. The local dealership is not any help, said their system does not go that far back. thanks a bunch in advance. uncle jed

Finally found all the proper numfers on the f2100. Ronnie at Tractorsmart determined that it was sold new in Feb. 1990. So at least i should be within a uear or two of the actual age of the mower. Now to get started restoring the little sucker.

I have a f2100 with a 72" mower deck, Great machine! Some features on it that the new ones are lacking ( individual brakes and two speed pto) are great to have. Year sounds about rightm first ones came in "88 and I think they were made until 1995. You"ll enjoy that machine once you get it in top shape!

Hi ED. I acquired it back in '01 or '02 when I had my repair shop. It cost me app. $400.00 cash and $400.00 in repairs on a customers various vehicles. She got it when her dad died and her brother trashed it but it still ran pretty good, but the deck was mostly rusted out. Now I have to replace the radiator and hood and axle seals. It's gonna be fun.

Your tractor will wear out several decks! Mine is on it's second one now (3 years ago) And it is still running like new! Amazing little machine and it runs so quietly to with the engine and exhaust behind you. I love it! Both of my brothers want to trade their nearly new John Deeres for it but I won't bite! I finally got an awsome machine after years of working with junk!
A new deck is a lot of money but if the tractor is running well it"s worth it.

Too right about the quiet running. I was mowing with it where we used to live close to Houston and my neighbor had her Craftsman v-twin mower and Icould hear hers above mine and she was 100 yards away
