If a deer grazed in my yard at night, it'd be in my garage by morning, freezer few days later........
..don't matter what time of year......

My "farmer" grandfather was as straight as it gets.

The other grandfather, not so much....

When I was 12-14, he used to brag to his bar buddies I could gut a deer faster than they could. He was right.

They'd be wrapped and in the freezer before they cooled down....

12 week lead time on that box blade... not sure how long for the tooth bar.

Funny timing on these ^ posts

Our black lab went crazy last night when we let her out (I have over an acre in the woods fenced in for them). Turns out she was trying to go after the coyote on the other side of the fence - probably the same one that was terrorizing the foxes. I didn't think that was a good decision on her part but the coyote did run away. It was clearly bigger than lil Daisy.

Here is a clip of that coyote trying to get at the 6 kits in the den. You can hear the fox barking, trying to lure the coyote away. This was recorded at night, lit by infrared lights that the animals can't see.
