Want to install 2nd rear remote and top and tilt kit on my L6060. Quote from local Kubota dealer "about $1000 for top and tilt setup and $800 for second remote plus labor." Does this sound reasonable?

sure it sounds 'reasonable'...
from the same company that sells a tire for $500 AND sells same tire, on a rim, with valve and full of air, for $350.

Ok. So not sure if you mean reasonable or not reasonable lol. I am not adverse to installing myself as I am handy and mechanically inclined ( but not a mechanic and not familiar with tractor work. ) I don't have an inside space that tractor fits in ( cab ). Salesman said a "few hours labor." If there's a problem with their install, it's their problem. So just trying to figure out if I'd save significant funds buying and installing it on my own..

Factory remotes are dealer only. $800 sounds about right for a second position stacking kit ($500) and a valve ($300) to go with it.

I imagine the top n tilt is Landpride. Generic top links are $300, its the side links that are tough to find. Fitrite is the de facto gold standard and the current price for a complete TnT shown on the website is $1200.

I would be more comcerned about that additionsl "couple hours labor". I imagine the remotes on a cabbed tractor are going to take more than that.

Thanks Dan. So my dealer estimate is in ballpark. I'm bringing tractor in for "complimentary" 50 hour service in a few weeks. Kill 2 birds with one stone.

There is the possibility that buying the whole kit (w/ cylinders and hoses) will be less in the long run. I have not done it yet, but my dealer priced out the rear remotes for me. Then priced out the T&T kit (as you would if it was being added to a new tractor). It was significantly more economical to buy the whole shebang instead of the Remotes now/ cylinders later.

2 hours should be plenty if they have installed one before.

Those prices sound typical to me.

As a point of comparison, when I ordered the first MX6000HST from the local dealer in late 2020, I added three rear remotes and a top-n-tilt kit for a total cost of $2,617 which included installation. When I sold that tractor I moved the top-n-tilt to the new MX6000HSTC

MX6000HST
1st remote valve with lever (SCD): $559
2nd remote valve with lever (SCD): $543
3rd remote valve with lever (SCD): $543
Top-n-tilt: $1,013
Labor: $535
Total: $2,617

When I ordered the MX6000HSTC in the summer of 2021 (delivered Christmas eve), I added three rear remotes to that build as well.

MX6000HSTC
1st remote valve with lever (SCD): $527
2nd remote valve with lever (SCD): $512
3rd remote valve with lever (FD): $512
Labor: $480
Total: $2,031

As a final point of comparison, I ordered a top-n-tilt kit for the M6060 from the local dealer in April of 2022.

M6060
Top link cylinder: $725
Lift rod cylinder: $485
Hoses, fittings and labor: $395
Total: $1,605
