I just put a new battery in my L 4701 and when I tried to crank it, it would turn over but not start. Error code p0605 came up. Does anyone know what this means and can I clear it or do I need to call a repair tech?
DTC format and general organization is standardized. The SAE and EPA have standardized specific codes which are mandated in the US by law and/or regulation. Some of the undefined code space has been reserved for use. The remainder of the code space is more or less undefined and left for OEM specific use. SAE J2012 is the governing standard in the US.google found this....
When the code P0605 is set in the Powertrain Computer, it means that the Powertrain Computer or PCM is failing its Read Only Memory (ROM) self-check and has found errors within its Read Only Memory functions. In many cases, the PCM is not getting a high quality, consistent 12 volt power and ground signal.
Now the BIG question is, are ALL OBD-II code the SAME or do different manufactures use 'their' numbers for 'their' errors ?
Kubota does not follow all the standard codes, Read and go by what the WSM says the code is.google found this....

What did they find? Thanks for all your help. Had a service tech out this morning, and after he cleaned the sight glass in the fuel line we spent an hour looking for the plug in for his diagnostic tool. ( it’s under the cowl and was a bitch to get to. 2015 model) never could get the ecu to talk to the computer so now I’m waiting on them to come pick it up and take to the shop. Wish me luck
