Entomology

Anyone in here that has studied entomology in school or as a hobby, I have a question?
Today while mowing around some brush a little critter landed on my arm and was gone before I could catch it for further study. It appeared to be of a hard shelled beetle type, a vivid blue with 6 or 8 white spots on the wing covers. It was maybe 7 or 8 mm long, I have looked but found nuttin any one with any idea ?

Wow, 6 or 8 mm long and landed on your arm for an instant, and you could focus on it! I’m kinda with bearbate on this. Any chance you were mowing magic mushrooms unknowingly?

7 years with U.S. Forest Service, Entomology and Toxicology; 32 years at N.C. State; Entomology Department; Knowing what to google, Priceless.... I had no idea that bug even existed...

I got a Forestry Degree from Stephen F. Austin with most of my electives in Entomology and Pathology.... I sucked at being a student and worked my butt off... Loved the field of bugs since it actually paid the bills through college.

Glad I was lucky enough to picked the correct one!!!
