Need help. I have a U-45 excavator with a V2203 engine,and i am rebuilding the engine. bought all necessary parts to rebuild engine and thrust bearings & main bearings are too big according to the machine shop, and my local kubota dealer cant help because they say its a gray market unit. Need to find the correct main bearings and thrust bearings! help!!!

The V2203 was used in many domestic Kubota's. It IS difficult for the tractor dealers to find parts for industrial engines because there are many different configurations of the same engine family. V2203 is just part of the engine model #. You might have to find the industrial kubota distributor in your area and purchase the parts from them. Here in Alberta they are Frontier Equipment. If you can find the proper parts book for your particular engine and get part numbers from it ,it is likely your tractor dealer can order them. Ordering parts for a tractor model that used a V2203 engine is very hit and miss though!
