Doing the conversion from filter element to spin cartridge this week. Since the element seems to be discontinued. Plan on using a Wix filter and Was wondering what oil everyone is using.

Not sure when the last time the oil was changed. Last owner doesn't know either so I am sure it is time.
Probably going to do a full service on it and change all fluids that way I know when it was done last.

Use DIESEL RATED engine oil in whatever viscosity you want to. You probably need to use the thicker viscosity to account for the wear in the engine.

I personally use Shell Rotella T4 or T5 not T6 (full synthetic)

And the transmission fluid can be a universal transmission fluid (not 80W gear oil)

I use Tractor Supply Traveler brand but WalMart has a similar fluid as I understand it.

^^^^^

Don't 'probably' do it. Do it.

Always 'baseline' a used tractor (new to you).

All fluids.

Then you have a known starting point for all future maintenance...and odds are, it needed it anyway.

All fluids.
And all filters (if that is not implied by "all fluids" already). And you do that even if the seller tells you it was "fully serviced". Been there, learned it the hard (as in costly) way.

Understood and appreciated. Yes when I change fluids I change filters as well just don't want to bite of to much at once.
