Can anyone identify my project engine? It is at least 25 yr old and out of a Carrier reefer unit. Was running when pulled off the truck. Only numbers are on the injector pump. ( D600 - 400 - S1 2 ). Would like to know for sure if it's a D600. I think that is a centrifugal clutch on the crank. There is an electrical motor for backup power on the other end of the drive belts and refrig compressor in the middle. Hoping to make a Gen set out of it. Have 7.5Kw generator head which should work.
In the first and last pic, there are 2 solenoids. The top one is hooked to I believe the inject pump fuel cutoff lever and the lower is hooked to the throttle lever? How do these work?
