Sometimes when I try to engage mid pto for mowing the lever doesn't seem to want to pop in place! So then I move the lever to rear pto and it pops in.... move tractor slightly and then try to put lever in mid pto again and it pops in place!

So my question is..... is this normal that it happens from time to time!?
I think the linkage for engaging pto is mechanical and not electronic so maybe that plays a roll!?

I have a B2320 and haven't experienced that problem.
I also have to ask.....you ARE using the clutch......right?

When I engage my mid PTO, often, I have to "double clutch" to get the lever to notch into place, then feather clutch out. I always lower RPM before engaging or disengaging either PTO.

Sorta related, this is why I love the HST. While hogging, if I run into thick stuff or rocks I can just back off pedal and and lift 3pt or just reverse out.

It sometimes needs to turn a little to help mesh the gears. My L1501 has a similar issue, unless trans is in neutral then pto engages most every time.
