hello i would like to know at what rpm do you engage and disingage your mower decks, i have a 2380 kubota i just bought with a 54 inch mower i was never told at what rpm to engage and disengage the mower without hurting the clutch. i had a 316 jd for 35 years and turned the mower on and off at idle and never had a problem , but how do i enguage and disengage this kubota / any help would be healpful ????

I always engage/disengage any PTO driven implement at the lowest rpm possible whether it's a snow blower, mower or rotary cutter. Engaging rpm is probably more critical than disengaging rpm due to the inertia of whatever is being rotated but it's just simple to go low for both.

Yes start it at idle and ramp up, remember there is a large shock load when the mower or any PTO implement starts so low and slow to start then ramp up to WOT and enjoy also get a good set of ear muffs after a couple hours your ears will be ringing,, and if you are like me you cant afford to lose any more hearing
