Anybody ever use them? I was out this morning against better judgment, only cause I had to get out of the house for a bit. SO I went to the wood pile and started on a log, and my Husky came a part,,, I mean SHE CAME UNGLUED!!! One bang and thats all she wrote. I dont know what broke but little pieces of shiny stuff dont give me a warm fuzzy feeling. I recalled a Bud in the past that had one and he said it was a cutting machine,, So Im wondering if anyone else has/had one?

Sorry to hear that brother. I have used one and they are nice. Tight units. The gun club has one and used it a few times. I have a Echo blade trimmer that's been great. Huskys aren't what they used to be unless you get into the big saws. My small saw is now a Stihl but still have the 365 Husky. I believe the Echos are from Japan so you know the tolerances are tight. I get parts for the Husky from Baileys.

Many of the landscapers and tree trimmers around here are using ECHO. The loggers mostly use Stihl.

I've had a CS 400 for 6 years. Great little saw. Just used it today to cut a birch for the wife's project... no complaints with it. They are all made professional grade ***128077;

That's one thing I like about ECHO. STIHL has about 7000 models and grades and you need a master's degree in chainsawry to know what to pick. :)

Sorry to hear the Husky came apart. I currently have 2 Echo saws, a 355T top handle that I keep on the tractor and a Cs490. Both are great and run well, unless you go for a pro Stihl they can't be beat for the price / performance ratio. Have used a big one, they call it a Timberwolf, I think close to 60cc's. that was a monster and cut very well, better than anything else of similar size. I have found that the local stores are better than big box for 2 the saws. Lucky to have a family owned service shop about 4 miles from home.

They are Orange too, so they have to be the best.

I bought an Echo CS590 last year and it's been great. Has a magnesium case, adjustable oiler, and broad power band. It was about $300 less than pro level Husky and Stihl, and seems every bit as good.

Have a little top handle CS300 been using for small stuff for more than 10 years, still runs strong. The Stihl MS460 is used for bigger stuff.

I don't recall the exact model but I have one, 40 cc if I recall correctly. Great little saw, it's light weight, easy to start, and cuts whatever I throw at it.

I have 2 Echo pole saws and am happy with them. I would not be afraid to try another one. My serious saws are Dolmar. One with 30" bar and one with 20" bar. Pretty spendy for most people but when it comes to a big tree I love them. One husky for small stuff and an old Homelight top handle limber. The Echo should serve you just fine.

Did some logging for a little while. I just drove the trucks mostly. The saws were always Stihl. Sometimes a greenhorn would bring in his Husqvarna and thought it was the baddest and best, wrong. Always fiddling with it, and not uncommon for them to be broken. My boss had one as well as a backup saw, but the Stihl was always the #1 choice. That said, I mentioned my old John Deere saw and my boss perked up and asked if it was a 66SV (which it was not). I forget the model, but he mentioned that the one I had was made by Echo for JD and went on to say that Echo is one of the better kept secrets in the loggers' world. They are good saws for the money. Funny, I picked up a John Deere 2BV blower a while back, thing's 25+ years old and is brand new. The lady I got it from bought it, used it once for about 20 minutes and then set it down in a barn where more crap got piled around it, and she "lost" it. Long story short, I got to clean the barn out and found the little blower and they give it to me for cleaning out the barn. Aside from her using it what little she did, I was the last one to lay hands on it when I was working at the dealer back then, as I pulled it out of the box personally and serviced it out for her. I still remember it. It, too, is made by Echo. Great little blower.

I have had my Stihl 025 for more than 24 years and it still runs like it was new. I cut between 8 and 10 cords of firewood with it every year and the only think I ever had to do to it was replace chains. Before that I had a McCullough that I used for about 20 years before I bought the Stihl. I sold that McCullough to a neighbor and he is still using it to this day. For the work that I did with both of those chain saws, I cannot say anything bad about either one of them. They were both highly reliable and never gave one second of trouble.

Bought a CS400 in August. Have used it Saturdays and Sundays for 3 hours each day. Have had no problems.
