Yesterday morning-12*f below. We've had two weeks it hasn't been above 20*. Brutal cold it seems very early in the winter.
5" of snow overnight last night But 33* this morning. Feels fantastic. No long johns needed!
Three yr old stacked and dried red oak has been a life saver in this stretch of cold.
Im sure others in the northwest montana ect have seen it colder as the poler air drops there first.

We have had more snow than we have seen in the last few years. Now we are expecting negative temps this weekend. Then the weather guessers are saying we will swing to above normal temps and could be close to 60 on Christmas day.

So I guess no white Christmas for us.

Had a storm hit us yesterday in Minnesota. 5-6 inches. Got to try my 3 point blower for the 1st time. Worked like a dream. Get ready for this weekend polar blast. Thank god it will only last 2 days. Another storm brewing for next week warm up.

Without looking up past snowfall records I would guess the month of Dec here in central Wisconsin must rank right up at the top. Since moving here in 2002 I have not seen this much snow before Christmas along with the cold temps. Things will warm up mid week though.

The B7100 with back blade does a pretty decent job of moving and piling the white stuff, :)

We have had below 0f a couple of days so far. But over 2ft of snow so far, looking like an old time winter.

You folks get the storms coming through us but it seems to build larger when it hits you. Hey, more seat time in the tractor!

Us peeps on the north western side of the U.S. are WARM AND SUPER WET.
Mass flooding all around.
Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.
Most, if not all rivers and lakes are above and beyond their banks.

A local river that we do a lazy float down over the summer, is at least 5 feet over it's normal high and is rocking and rolling.

N.Y,
We have burned through twice the wood that we usually burn since the 3rd week of November. Good thing is usually the ground isn't frozen this time of the year for plowing snow, making a mess. This year it has been frozen solid the 3 times I have had to plow snow. Definitely below normal temps.

All your moisture goes through Canada then through the dakotas and into Minnesota. We have had 3 snow storms so far this season with the last one being the largest. Going to be a long winter. The good part is more seat time in the tractor!

Crisp, frosty mornings make coffee on deck taste good, long sleeves mid-day and evenings sipping Jim Beam around firepit . Did I mention how much I love outdoors and good weather ?
