Well after thinking it over and weighing out the pros and cons of buying the EA grapple, I've decided to go with another grapple. While I really like the quality and functionality of the EA the wait was just too long for me. It's not that I'm impatient it's just that I need to clear the site for our pole barn. And with a delivery time of about two and half months that would put me too close to fall to begin clearing the lot. And building would push back into late fall. Not a great time to be building a barn in northeastern Michigan, lol. So I chose to go with the MTL Attachments HD 66 root grapple. It was here in 6 days, and that's including the weekend. Very impressed with the sale and with Cliff. If you have any questions you just text him and he gets back to you promptly. I can't say enough good about him. As far as the grapple itself, I'm pretty impressed. I bought the one with the double top, it weighs in at just under 500lbs. I went out as soon as I got it mounted up and it performed great. I moved a bunch of stumps that I pulled out with the backhoe and then went after a big ole brush pile that the logging company left after lumbering off some of the property. All in all this seems like a well built product and I believe it's more than adequate for my needs. The price was just an extra bonus along with the quick delivery after it was ordered. I would've bought the EA if they would've been available for delivery sooner than two months. But after getting the MTL I can say I'm very happy with my purchase and glad it turned out the way it did. It was $899 + $149 for shipping.
