Another shout out to the folks over at Everything Attachments! I ordered my Wicked Root Grapple last Monday, and they somehow got it to me in two days, just before Thanksgiving! I spent all morning on Thanksgiving driving around the property and cleaning up old dead trees!

Awesome grapple. Wicked 60 right? Good to see the EA is back up and running and producing great implements again.

That’s an awesome combination you got there!

I suspect you will find the BH to be awesome ballast (as well as much better than using a shovel) when using the grapple…you should feel very planted when lifting logs and debris.

That grapple looks phenomenally new! Mine came with a dent and some poor paint prep resulting in missing/flaking paint, so I responded by using the heck out of it on rocks. That balanced out the paint look. :ROFLMAO:

They're really strong grapples. My center pin doesn't have grease zerks so if yours also doesn't make sure to manually grease the pins regularly.

I see they added a cross drilled pin to the cylinder/lid pivots. I bought my grapple from them in 2021. I was really happy with the attachment (and still am), except for the really goofy lubrication set up at the outboard pivots. I also was not happy with the response when I asked Travis how the stupid design was supposed to work.

I can't find the picture I took of it, so will try to describe it. A short piece of pipe was drilled, tapped, then a zerk fitting installed. This pipe fit (loosely) between the clevis fitting forks on the end of the cylinders, with an o-ring between each end of the pipe and the clevis forks. While greasing, grease just oozes out of the end of the pipe and does not get anywhere near the pressure points.

When I reached out to Travis at EA, he wrote something like- The grease will get where it needs to be...or something lame like that. Maybe I will reach out to them and see if the current design is retrofittable to my grapple.

Enjoy your new tool.
