I came across this early company photo of what Kubota once promoted as a futuristic “Dream Tractor”:

Put twin turbos on it and some straight pipes through the hood.

The “Dream Tractor” was exhibited in the Kubota Pavilion at the Japan World Exposition, Osaka 1970 with advanced technologies at that time such as superior functionality, great driver comfort and easier operability.

I was really surprised it wasn’t a picture of an L2501HST. Joking ... the electric robotic tractors out of California look pretty futuristic.

Just for the record, if money wasn’t a factor, I would have bought a MX5400 cab. Don’t get me wrong, my L2501 does everything I’ve wanted it to. I just couldn’t justify spending 20K more because the MX5400 cab is super cool. :D

Funny. The “dream” tractors don’t have loaders. Don’t even see a way to have one as an option. If it ain’t got a loader it ain’t my dream tractor.

Perhaps... but they still managed to restrict the operators’ view just in-front of the wheels and bury the machinery to make it inaccessible.
The best engineers remember that “form should follow function”..... I don’t know too many tractors operating at speeds that benefit by “streamlining”.
