My MX4700 drawbar is too short and too high for standard farming tools such as a hay baier. I find ther is a hammerstrp bolt on but I can not find one formy MX 4700. Has anyone got any suggestions

I don't know how long you need, but there seems to be a lot of different lengths and types online.

ask your dealer to spec out the hammerstrap with part Part # 35080-29720. I think you might find this will give you about a 1 1/4 drop without spacers. Should be able to add spacers if more drop needed.

You sure that your drawbar is in correctly? Manufactures make drawbar lengths to Standards based upon a certain distance from the tractor’s PTO shaft. If the drawbar is in backwards, you probably can’t get the correct distance. How is your drawbar too high? A tractor like a MX4700 is a small tractor for a baler compared to what most people run and has short tires compared to 100+ HP tractors.

There’s an optional drop drawbar that’s offset to increase the PTO to drawbar gap for the L4701.

I don’t have one and a brief search didn’t reveal dimensions. Also didn’t see a drop drawbar offered for the MX4700. Might be worth checking with your dealer to see if there’s a drop drawbar for the MX4700, and if not, whether the drop drawbar for the similar size L4701 is compatible.

My drawbar is correctly installed. I use an old(1965)New Holland 275 baler that is no problem for the tractor. I use an after market drop drawbar but it is really too lightweight. It is bent
