Yes, but many of us plow snow with good results with a rear blade.snow blades and rear dirt blades are not the same. Snow plow blades are taller ,tend to have more 'curl', with the top edge 2-3-4 inches ahead of the bottom 'cutting' edge. This allows the snow to roll over and be pushed offt to the side. Rear blades are more 'pushing' blades than 'plowing' blades
