There seems to be a few mistakes in mine for a B2620. Mine's a 2009 so maybe they have been fixed.

I just purchased a block heater and since the original owner did zero maintenance I wanted to change the coolant too.

I looked in the manual for coolant capacity and it says 4.1 gallon. I didn't give it much thought since I was in a hurry and went to buy 2 gallon of coolant. Mixed it 50/50 and then drained the coolant, did a few flushes with clean water. Each time I drained I knew there wasn't 4 gallon coming out.

Went to the computer and looked up the B2620 specs and see that it's not 4.1 gallon, it's 4.1 QUARTS!

I should have known, or at least if I had given it a little thought I would have figured there's no way this tractor has a 4 gallon coolant capacity. I have enough now to change it again in a few years. I wish I hadn't mixed it with water before the light bulb lit up in my head.

There are more mistakes but don't have the time right now to find them again.

Sad thing is that those type of typo's typically do not get picked up when a proof reader reads them.

My wife use to proof some type of manuals in her past, but the problem is, the proofer is looking for mistakes of grammar and punctuation - not technical data.

Also, our units of measure still baffle me - we refuse to just accept the metric system - thus gallons, quarts and pints still need to be "thought out" - whereas a liter is a liter no matter where it is used.

I share you frustration, the internet is a wonderful tool, if you can believe most of what is written:D:)

Had a talk about this with three Kubota reps at a dealer show I went to a while back. They also admitted the manuals have a lot of inaccuracies.

One of which, they told me, was the only changing hydro filters and not the oil at the 50 hour break in.

But nobody seems to believe me on that one. They had lots of horror stories on that one to tell me. Same as people not changing the oil in the final drives on the mini-ex's.
They're amazed how many people will destroy $2500 final drives to save buying 2 quarts of oil, LOL.

My operators manual is kind of messed up to I haven't found any inaccuracies as far as capacities go but they use the same manual for GR2020G(gas) GR2120 &GR2120AU Diesel so it can get a bit confusing. Does anyone know the difference between American model and Australia version as the manual uses the same capacities and maintainence schedule.

The manuals are written originally in Japanese then translated to English.

I call the service manual language "Jinglish" for a reason. Some call it Japanenglish.

Weird thing about Japanese language. Or maybe English. You can take a Japanese phrase and translate it to English. Then translate the exact same English BACK to Japanese and it's different than the original.

While we are off topic, it's funny when you look around the world, the USA is certainly against the rest as far as metric goes. When Australia changed they did a few silly thing like banning the sale of imperial tape measures and micrometers etc, for some time at least, I can recall my father pulling his hair out about it.
I learned imperial, then metric, yet in the electrical and refrigeration industry I needed both for a long time, but as soon as you do any calculations give me metric any day, everything relates and mixes and matches together.
I really do wish you guys will change, but I guess it won't buy votes so may not happen.

I grew up in the land of metric and I hate it, LOL. I still use imperial.
Don't ask me why?
